Veteran journalist and Agenda anchor Korina Sanchez-Roxas marked her birthday on Sunday, October 5, with three bold wishes — justice, love, and prosperity.
Korina received an advanced surprise celebration from her ‘Agenda’ family during the show’s taping on Friday. She was greeted with three birthday cakes and two bouquets, each symbolizing one of her heartfelt wishes.
Fellow anchor Pinky Webb presented one of the cakes, prompting Korina to quip, “Ang daming cake! Ang daming calories! I love the calories, that’s my best friend!”
When asked to make her wishes, Korina didn’t hold back.
“Una, sana makulong ang dapat lang makulong. At dapat, ma-vindicate ‘yung mga dapat na inosente,” she declared — a pointed statement that drew cheers from those present.
Her second wish was more personal and tender.
“Pangalawa, gusto kong masabi na sana forever akong mahalin ni Mar Roxas,” she said, smiling as she mentioned her husband, the former senator and public servant.
Finally, she turned her attention to her colleagues and their shared success.
