Bianca de Vera candidly shared that she nearly gave up on her showbiz career, admitting that there was a point when she believed her time in the industry was coming to an end.

Speaking emotionally, Bianca recalled how last Christmas marked one of her lowest moments as an actress.
“This day, this time last year, last Christmas, honestly, akala ko ‘yon ‘yung huling Pasko ko na maging artista kasi parang I was really about to give up,” she said.

The actress admitted that feelings of self-doubt and insecurity weighed heavily on her at the time.

“Parang feeling ko kasi wala pa akong napapatunayan. Feeling ko napag-iiwanan ako. Feeling ko nahuhuli ako,” Bianca shared.

Despite these struggles, she said she eventually found herself living the very dream she almost walked away from.
“But here I am now, ‘di ba? Living my dreams now. I have my own movie,” she added.

Bianca recently earned her first-ever Best Actress nomination at the MMFF 51 Gabi ng Parangal for her performance as Savannah in the film Love You So Bad. She dedicated the milestone to her parents, who stood by her throughout her journey.

“To my parents, to mommy and daddy if you’re watching, na-nominate ako for Best Actress,” she said.

The interview took place after one of the 21 block screenings of Love You So Bad, which were organized by fans of Bianca and her co-star Dustin. Both actors personally attended several of the screenings to thank their DusBi and DustBia supporters.

Reflecting further on her journey, Bianca described the nomination as more than just a career achievement, but as validation that her struggles in the industry were not in vain.

“There was a time last year, last Christmas, akala ko ‘yun na ‘yung huling Pasko ko bilang artista kasi feeling ko walang nangyayari sa career ko,” she reiterated.

She also spoke about how the fear of being left behind by her peers affected her confidence.

“Feeling ko kasi wala pa ako napapatunayan, feeling ko napapag-iwanan na ako. Feeling ko nahuhuli na ako,” Bianca said.

Now, with renewed confidence and gratitude, the actress said she is embracing where her perseverance has brought her.

“But now, living my dreams now, I have my own movie,” she declared.

Bianca also left a message of encouragement for those who may be experiencing the same doubts she once had.
“Don’t stop dreaming. Huwag kayong susuko sa pangarap n’yo at sa sarili n’yo dahil napakaraming magagandang bagay ang naghihintay inyo,” she said.
