Nikko Natividad fires back at netizen over fiesta ‘raket’ claims: ‘May choice pong humindi’

Actor Nikko Natividad directly addressed allegations made by a netizen who claimed he was rude and uncooperative during a recent fiesta appearance, firmly defending his actions and setting boundaries on what performers are—and are not—obliged to do during paid events.

The issue began after a Facebook user named “Marya Sunga” posted about an unnamed artist who allegedly refused to take photos with a barangay chairman, declined an invitation to a family dinner unless paid ₱20,000, and did not accommodate audience photo requests after the show.

“Nakakaloka ying nakasama ko artesta na mhin sa isang raket sa Fiesta… Ayaw pa pic sa Chairman n Barangay… Ayaw mag Dinner sa bahay ni Chairman para mag meet and greet sa family kelangan daw bayaran sha n 20k… huwaaaat?” the post read.

“Ayaw pa pic sa audience after show. Nagmamadali sa performance… takbo agad sa van tas uwi parang ipo ipo… Kaloka!!!”

Although no name was mentioned, netizens quickly linked the post to Natividad, who responded by reposting the claims on his own Facebook page on Thursday, January 29.

Questioning the accuracy of the accusations, Natividad said the barangay chairman and his family had already received video greetings and photos.

“Hindi ba inupload ni kapitan mga pina video greet nya saken? Hindi ba nila inupload mga solo pic ng buong pamilya nya saken?” he wrote.

The actor stressed that accepting invitations beyond his contracted performance is a matter of personal choice, not obligation.

“At isa pa, hindi obligasyon ng performer pumunta at kumaen sa bahay ng kapitan para mag meet and greet. May choice pong humindi,” Natividad said.

He also explained why he immediately went back to his vehicle after finishing his set.

“At malamang diretso van ako, bakit san mo ako gusto pumunta after performance ko? Sa bahay nyo?” he added.

Ending his post with a pointed remark, the actor wrote: “Nahiya ka pa pangalanan ako, cute mo.”

The original post from the netizen has since been deleted, though Natividad reuploaded screenshots of it for context. The exchange has reignited online discussion about professional boundaries, with supporters arguing that performers are entitled to rest and personal space after fulfilling their contractual duties, while critics maintain that public figures should be more accommodating during community events.

As of writing, the barangay officials involved have not issued a statement regarding the incident.
