A Songbayanan group from Calumpit took home the P1 million jackpot prize during the pilot weekend of the new season of Everybody Sing after correctly guessing all 10 songs in the jackpot round aired on Sunday, May 3.
The group sealed their win in the final five seconds when member Leslie correctly identified the last song, “Pangarap Lang” by Yeng Constantino.
According to host Vice Ganda, the prize will be a significant help to the group, especially as their community continues to face recurring flooding.
In addition to the jackpot, the group earned another P60,000 with the help of celebrity guest Bela Padilla during the “Singko Blanko” round, where they correctly completed three lines from the song “Pare Ko.”
The pilot weekend also featured appearances from comedians Petite and Iyah Mina, who served as co-hosts alongside Vice Ganda.
Meanwhile, Your Face Sounds Familiar Season 4 grand winners JM Dela Cerna and Marielle Montellano joined the Songbayanan for a special performance.
New episodes of “Everybody Sing” air every Saturday and Sunday at 8:30 p.m. across multiple platforms, including ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, iWant, and Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube.
