As the eldest among 12 children, Zenny Corcuera learned to make a living when she was just six years old by selling bottled water, peanuts, and sampaguita to train passengers in Laguna. Selling peanuts was what got her through high school and helped her get a degree in banking and finance.
Even when Zenny started working at a bank, she didn’t quit selling peanuts, until she retired in 1991.
Using her retirement pay worth P6,000, she put up a peanuts store that later grew. She made a lot of money from her business that she was able to buy a house and several cars for her family.
