The protégés who got the boot were David John Llanas and Steffi Pacheco of Team Mindanao and Vien Allen King and Andres Vasquez of Team Manila. Meanwhile, Shelly Hipolito of Team North and Central Luzon advanced to the next round and made it to the Top 10.
The gala night landed on the top local trending topics on Twitter, putting the topic (#ProtegeShock) in the no. 1 spot in Philippines‘ most trending topics on the microblogging site. The elimination last night was based on the combined scores of the judges plus the text votes.
