Several Kapuso stars have earned nominations in the Outstanding Asian Star: Philippines category at the 21st Seoul International Drama Awards (SDA), highlighting the growing international recognition of Filipino talent.
Leading the list are Dingdong Dantes and Max Collins, who were nominated for their standout performances in the drama series “The Master Cutter.”
Also receiving nominations are Anton Vinzon, Katrina Halili, Roi Vinzon, and Amy Austria for their roles in the sports drama series “Kamao.”
The nominations were warmly received by fans, who quickly took to social media to express their excitement and support for their favorite Kapuso stars.
Winners in the Outstanding Asian Star category will be determined through fan voting via the IDOLCHAMP app. Fans may cast their votes for their preferred nominees until July 14.
The winners will be announced during the 21st Seoul International Drama Awards, which will take place on October 8 at the KBS Hall in Seoul, South Korea.
For Dingdong Dantes, this is not the first time he has been recognized by a South Korean award-giving body. In 2020, he won the Asian Star Prize Award for his portrayal of Captain Lucas in the Philippine adaptation of the hit Korean drama “Descendants of the Sun.”
With Filipino stars continuing to gain international recognition, supporters are encouraged to vote and help bring home another prestigious honor for Philippine entertainment.
