Queen of Soul Jaya is celebrating her 25 years in show business and as part of her promotion for her major concert dubbed “Jaya Memories… 25 Years” on November 10 at the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resort & Casino, she sang ‘If I Could’ on “Sunday All Stars” which got her more emotional during her performance with Kyla.
When asked by Janno Gibbs what made her cry, Jaya revealed, “It’s actually my song for my kids. I have two children, Sabri (Sabriya) and Dylan, but during the process of doing this concert which is kinda strange kasi when we started the show, that’s when I had a really bad stomach ache. I had to do an operation. It’s a laparoscopic surgery to take out my gall bladder.”
She added, “And I was pregnant at that time. And I didn’t know that the operation would actually kill the child. And I’m just being blunt and honest that we decided to do it because if I don’t, I might not be able to do all my commitments.”
