Is GMA actor Martin del Rosario ready to have a girlfriend now that he’s open about his feelings for Kylie Padilla, his leading lady in the upcoming TV series Buena Familia? Or is the hunk looking for a boyfriend instead?
Despite the persistent rumors about his sexuality, Martin assures fans that he is not gay and he is ready to fall in love with the right woman.
“I’ll be ready when the right person comes. I’ll know who that is when it’s time,” he said.
The nasty rumors that he is gay and has a boyfriend began when a photo of Martin allegedly kissing another guy became viral on social media. Just recently, another scandalous photo surfaced, but the actor just shrugged these rumors off and took everything in stride.
For now, he’s busy with his new TV series where he is happy working with Kylie. Before the two were paired, both guested on GMA-7’s lifestyle program MARS, which Martin said increased his desire to do projects with Robin Padilla’s daughter.
“After I transferred to GMA, Kylie and I guested on MARS. This only happened once, but whenever they ask me who I want to be my love team partner, I would always mention Kylie even though I have a lot of crushes,” Martin revealed.
However, Martin says only time will tell if the onscreen romance will blossom into the real thing. He said love takes time – something that he and Kylie have no control of at the moment.
“Love takes time. You need to know the person first. Kylie and I have only been together for a month,” Martin said.
“My first impression of Kylie was she’s beautiful and I felt she was a real person. She doesn’t lie, she’s frank, and I admire her for that. Maybe, all we need is time because that way, you’ll know the person well,” he concluded.
Buena Familia replaces Yagit and will start on Tuesday, June 28, 2015. Also starring in the series are Angelu de Leon, Bobby Andrews, Sheryl Cruz, Julian Trono, Julie Anne San Jose, Jake Vargas, and Aicelle Santos.
