After over 9 months of winning the afternoon battle, GMA Network’s remake of Leroy Salvador’s “Mga Batang Yagit” (1984) is now down to its last two weeks. “Yagit” will air its finale episode on July 24 on GMA Afternoon Prime.
According to an interview with Journal, “Yagit” star Yasmien Kurdi feels unhappy with its show down to its last remaining tapings. “Everything naman talaga has to come to an end and yes, after eight months on the air, matatapos na rin kami,” she says. (Everything [must have] come to an end and yes, after eight months on the air, we’ll finally get done [with tapings].)

Dolores, portrayed by Yasmien, feels proud to be part of the drama-series. “Lahat kami sa cast, masaya sa narating ng ‘Yagit’ at nagtagal ito sa ere nang higit sa aming inaasahan,” she says. (The cast is happy with what Yagit has reached that it was aired [on TV] for a long time more that what we’ve expected.)
“Malaking karangalan na maging bahagi ng isang show na tumatak talaga sa viewers na talagang sumubaybay at nakiiyak sa amin.” (It’s a great honor to be a part of a show that left a mark to the viewers who actually kept track [on each episodes] and shared tear with us.)
Don’t miss the last few episodes of Yagit, which is aired after The Half Sisters every weekdays.”Buena Familia” starring Kylie Padilla, Martin del Rosario and Julie Anne San Jose will soon replace Yagit before July ends.
