Sun Life Philippines put together the father and son Piolo Pascual and Inigo Pascual tandem as their new brand ambassadors to create awareness and encourage community involvement through a caravan called #LiveFreePH Freedom Tour.
The first caravan tour was at SM City Pampanga last August 28, 2015. The next tour will be in Iloilo and Davao later this year. The tour will feature a line up of activities that will guide participants as they begin their journey towards financial freedom.
This will culminate in the “Freedom Celebration,” a concert which will feature musical performances by Piolo and Inigo. The two stars will lead the movement and give Filipinos a boost to strive and reach their financial goals.
Before the concert, Sun Life had arranged a press conference in Souq Restaurant in Pampanga where the father and son talks more about the knowledge they gained from Sun Life.
According to Piolo, his parents taught him well to value hard work and what he earned. Not just spending everything he have. He has his own struggles, but that doesn’t stop him to work, learn, and prepare for the better future.
“Knowing I have enough for myself, I shouldn’t rely on my work. With job or none, you need to think what can give you a better future,” Piolo said.
He also added, “With the help of Sun Life and with all the kinds of policies that we have, it is giving me a balance. You don’t have to just keep on working, or keep on saving, you can be an advocate to balance everything as you pay forward. It is not just having a financial freedom, but sharing it to the next generation.”
Piolo seems to be very proud of her son Inigo. Even in his young age he understands the importance of financial freedom. Inigo has his own insights on how his future could have become.
“Whatever young generations earn now, they will be able to use it as a tool in the future. Investing at the young age, I think this is the best time to enlighten them. I am so lucky to have my dad guide me through this,” Inigo stated.
#LiveFreePH Movement aims to inspire Filipinos to believe that a brighter future is possible, provoke them to think about their own definition of financial freedom, and encourage them to translate their optimism about their financial future to reality, with the help of financial advisors.
To quote what Piolo said about why he chose Sun Life, he shared, “I understand much better because they uses layman’s term. It is more easy to comprehend.”
