Looks like the Metro Manila Film Festival 2015 scandal isn’t over yet as Netizens noticed that the winner in one MMFF Awards Category was not even nominated.

On the recent MMFF 2015 Awards Night held last December 27, 2015, MMFF announced only four (4) nominees for the “Best Production Design Awards” category which are (1) Ericson Navarro for “Honor Thy Father”, (2) Mimi Viola for “Nilalang”, (3)Shari Marie Montiague for “All You Need is Pag ibig” and (4) Jerann Ordinario for “Haunted Mansion, but Netizens got surprised when MMFF announced that Angel Diesta for “Buy Now Die Later” won the “Best Production Design Awards” because she was not even included in the list of nominees.

Since then, edited photos and memes about the winning of  “Buy Now Die Later”  has gone viral in social media.

Netizens expressed different reactions about the incident. Some compared it to the the recent “Miss Universe 2015 Mix Up” where host Steve Harvey announced a different winner.netizensIf “Buy Now Die Later” is really NOT included in the list of nominees for the  “Best Production Design Awards” category, Does it mean that MMFF 2015’s “Best Film Festival Director” Erik Matti’s posts is now making sense?

The award winning director posted the following status on his Twitter account hours after the MMFF 2015 awards night.

“Sa dumi nitong #MMFF2015 di ako naniniwala na best director ako. I’m sure di rin nila alam ano ang best directing. #RIPMMFF #MMFF 2015 Scandal”

“May ticket swapping na, may lutuan pa sa loob. San ka pa lulugar? Walang kawala! Lahat na inayos nila. #greedy #MMFF2015AwardsNight #RIPMMFF”

Even “Buy Now, Die Later” star John Lapus reacted on the issue when asked, “Sinabi ko yan sa staff after I presented it. Dedma sila. Theory ko may problem sa communication ng Viva TV at MMFF.”
