After her contract with GMA Network expired last May, Jennylyn Mercado renewed her ties with the network July 4. She is still Kapuso.
On Instagram that same day, Jennylyn posted a photo with the bosses og GMA Network and captioned it with, “This is where I belong. I am forever grateful to my home network and for as long as they want me, I’ll be here to stay. #kapuso”
Before that, there were speculations she might transfer following her recent movie done outside GMA Network. Talks grew louder that there’s interim before the renewal because Jennylyn was allegedly considering another offer.
Jennylyn has been loyal to GMA Network ever since she won the talent search reality show “Starstruck” in 2003. She has done over 20 TV shows for the network, including “My Faithful Husband,” “Rhodora X,” “Hindi Ka Na Mag-iisa” and “Captain Barbell.” And while she does movies for other outfits from time to time, Jennylyn is always Kapuso.
