Star Cinema’s “The Super Parental Guardians” is obviously this year’s top hit in the box office.
In fact, the movie is now being screening in more than 300 cinemas nationwide. From 250 cinemas on opening day, the movie expanded to 280 cinemas on the next day.
Currently, “The Super Parental Guardians” has already earned ₱150 million as of December 3 at 5:00pm and now considered the most successful debut of any Star Cinema film this year.
Just like last year’s box office race, this year’s Coco Martin-Vice Ganda starrer was able to beat Vic Sotto with AlDub’s “Enteng Kabisote 10: And The Abangers.” The movie was also able to make history by beating the highest opening PH movie of all time, previously set by “My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore.”
“The Super Parental Guardians” still has more weeks to prove in cinemas nationwide. We’ll see if they will beat their own record from last year’s “Beauty And The Bestie” which grossed more than ₱500 million in last year’s MMFF. We’ll see…
