Maine Mendoza is celebrating her birthday today. However, she admitted that she felt sadness prior to her birthday.
“Excited na po ako (sa birthday ko). Pero nalulungkot ako, ‘yung birthday blues na tawag nila. Ewan ko, parang ayoko po’ng mag-birthday, kasi isa po ‘yun sa pinakanilu-look forward ko,” she said.
The prominent Dubsmasher then explained how days are moving fast to celebrate her birthday.
She elaborated straightaway, “Parang nakakalungkot, kasi parang feeling ko, kapag birthday ko, wala na, tapos na after nu’n. Isang taon na naman ng paghihintay po.”
The 22-year-old also answered a question about the gift she wants to give to herself. She also said, “Wala pa po. Pero siguro yung ano na lang, yung sa tour ng ‘Kalyeserye’ sa US.”
She further revealed her birthday wish for herself, “Ngayon, parang ang dami-dami na pong nangyari sa buhay ko at sa career ko, kaya siguro ang birthday wish ko na lang e ‘yung success ng teleserye namin ni Alden; sana patuloy pa nilang tutukan ang ’Destined To Be Yours’.”
The series “Destined to Be Yours” is her first major project with onscreen partner Alden Richards.
