Angelica Panganiban described her friendship with Angel Locsin a “happy ending.”
It might be rocky at the beginning, but the friendship of these two actresses has stood the test of time. And according to Angelica, Angel is a one-of-a-kind friend.
The two Kapamilya stars will be starring in a new film under Star Cinema, with Angel’s former onscreen partner Richard Gutierrez.
Angelica admitted that she thought of Angel as OA, a Filipino slang word for a person who extreme feelings towards something. In short, over acting.
Angelica stated, “Sabi ko, ‘Sobrang bait naman nito.’ Parang hindi talaga totoo noon. Ang daming ginagawa, asikaso ng asikaso, sobrang bait. Pero iyon pala, ganoon pala talaga siya. Nakakatuwa.”
The Kapamilya actress didn’t elaborate the cause of her bumpy beginning with Angel. However, she shared, “Doon mo siguro nakita iyong magic ng lahat. Parang may mga bagay na hindi naman sa umpisa eh para bang perfect na perfect kayo para sa isa’t isa bilang magkaibigan.”
She further said, “I believe parehas kaming natuto sa mga hindi magandang nangyari sa amin. I think kung hindi kami natuto, hindi kami aabot sa ganito – parehong mature na para gumawa ng isang proyekto na magkasama.”
Meanwhile, the upcoming Star Cinema film would be a reunion for Angelica and Angel since they starred in a 2012 blockbuster hit “One More Try”.
