If Liza had her way [since she’s playing the title role here], she already had her choice of Valentina in mind. She said she had chosen this actress because she believes that she can very well play the role convincingly and she had known her for quite sometime now.
It had taken quite awhile before Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano was announced as the new “Darna.” So it is expected that the rest of the cast including that villain part [which is equally an important role in making Darna possible] will have to wait for quite sometime before they get named.
While the much coveted role finally went to Liza, netizens are wondering who will be her antagonist in the said film?

Anne has debunked the rumor that she had been chosen to play the half-human half-serpent antagonist. But fans are clamoring for Anne for her to do the role when given the opportunity.
However, it seems that the TV host is busy preparing for her upcoming wedding with fiancé Erwan Heusaff in New Zealand.
Liza said in an interview: “Oh, I love Ate Anne! I would love to work with her!” She also said that she had no idea who will be with her in the much-anticipated Darna movie. “I can’t think of anyone at the top of my mind to play Valentina because wala e. I don’t know who could possibly do it.”
