Veteran actor-TV host Roderick Paulate revealed that he had a spat with Vilma Santos that lasted a year.

Close friends Vilma Santos and Roderick Paulate admitted they had fight before that lasted a year. The two veteran stars revealed the story on their guesting in Kapamilya talk show “Magandang Buhay.”
“Meron kaming promo ng isang movie. Nagkamali ‘yung tugtog… Pagkamali ‘yung tugtog, na-upset ‘yung partner natin, di ba? Alam ko parang naselos ‘yung Vilmanians eh kasi parang feeling nila kinampihan ko si…” Roderick recalled.
Suddenly Vilma squeezed in and revealed thatt there was a time that Roderick sided Maricel before. “Hindi, sa madaling salita no’n, si Maria (Maricel) pa no’n.”
Kinonfront ko siya. Sino ba talaga ‘yung gusto mo? Talagang nagsigawan kaming dalawa. ‘Bakit ganyan ba? Napaka-insecure mo? Ganito lang naman ‘yun.’ ‘Hindi ako naniniwala sa’yo,'” she shared.
Their fight lasted for a year but Roderick learned from the situation that Vilma is a true friend. The veteran actor then shared how he reached out to Vilma.
According to him, he stayed inside a box for three hours just to surprise Vilma on her birthday.
“Dinala ‘yung box ‘dun sa Araneta (Coliseum) tapos sabi ni Vi, ‘ano ito?’ Binuksan. Ako na nga ‘yung lumabas,” he shared.
The actor then began to sang “Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You” which made the award-winning actress cry. After the show, the two talked privately and saved their friendship.
