For the first time, Kapamilya actress Bela Padilla had to shoot her love scene in a movie for Irene Villanueva’s “Meet Me In St. Gallen.” In an interview with PUSH.com, the 26-year old actress talked about her working experience with her leading man Carlo Aquino.
“I’ve known Carlo for a while. He’s very different as a friend and as a co-worker. He’s very ano eh intense and dito mo makikita ‘yung process niya kung papano niya siniseryoso ‘yung trabaho niya, which is good kasi it’s a different, I guess, way of doing things and now I see scenes from his perspective. It’s nice and he’s really in the character,” she shared.
Bela admitted that she felt anxious shooting her first love scene in a movie.
“Iyon lang ‘yung only scene na parang kinabahan ako pero it was done so well, one shot from the first floor, the second floor. Nag-rehearse kami, one rehearsal siyempre without doing anything else, wala pang kiss, movements lang, tapos pagdating ng take sabi ko oh my gosh sobrang hirap nito kasi steady cam baka maalog sa stairs so iniisip ko baka makailang take kami at kinakabahan ako baka di ko magawa ng tama or baka mahalata na nahihiya ako sa monitor,” she relayed.
Bela, however, is thankful that they shoot the intimate scene for just one take.
“Ang dami kong iniisip sa gabing ‘yun tapos nong bago mag-take kinausap lang ako ni direk Irene (Villamor) na ‘O ready ka na?’ Nong sinabi niya ‘yun parang binola ko ‘yung sarili ko na o ready na ako tapos ‘yun ginawa na namin and I am very thankful na ginawa namin in one take lang. We didn’t have to repeat it kasi it’s awkward and things like that you’re not supposed to shoot over and over because it doesn’t feel as real as anymore,” she said.
“Meet Me In St. Gallen” will be shown in cinemas nationwide starting February 7 this year.
