As its unique set-up, “Ha-inan” is slowly making its own mark in the food industry as it caters authentic Filipino food right straight on your doorsteps. Eleanor Que, the owner of Ha-inan Delivery and Take Out, shared how it all started from thier family’s love for food.
“Nag-start lang kami three months ago, October 10. Initially, bakit ito ang klase ng business? Nakita kasi namin, ‘yung family namin madalas talagang nagpapa-deliver. Noong bandang huli, parang nagsasawa na kami sa delivery. Lalo na Filipino foods. Kasi sa bahay namin hindi kami nakakapagluto masyado ng Filipino foods. Kasi diba, parang ang daming mga rekados. ‘Pag mamamalengke, ang daming kailangan so madalas kami nag-oorder talaga ng mga Filipino foods for delivery,” she said.
In the middle of the tight competition of all food business, Eleanor and family decided to come up with something unique food business set up.
“Bakit delivery and take out? Kasi ‘yun nga ang parang nakita natin. ‘Yun yung may opportunity at this moment. At this time, because of the traffic, masyado nang busy ang mga tao. Even sa offices, sa mga companies, nakakasarap mag-trabaho kapag masarap ang kakainin mo. You may be overworked na pero ‘pag andyan na ‘yung pagkain, nawawala ‘yung pagod natin, she explained.
Less than a year, their food business is overwhelmingly appreciated by their customers and those food enthusiasts who visited them.
“Hindi lang mabenta, masarap pa. At hindi lang ‘yun, talagang binabalik-balikan kami. Nagiging craving siya, hindi lang sa mga friends ko or kakilala, pero ‘yung mga nakukuha naming feedback dito… Nagccrave sila especially sa mga pansit namin,” she said.
“Ang difference ng pansit namin sa other pansitan, kasi ‘yan yung parating nasa table set-up ng Filipino celebration or feast. Ngayon, yung pansit namin ang kakaiba. Eto yung special chili sauce… We have this crispy liempo on top of our pansit and then, very special chili sauce. Ang sili natin galing pa ng Davao. So, iba yung lahi ng sili na ‘to na ginawa naming specially blend. And then, kapag hinalo sa pansit natin, talagang ‘yun yung hahanap-hanapin mo. Iba yung flavor, iba ang anghang niya,” she added.
Eleanor also shared the difference of their special pancit from other restaurant’s dishes.
“Our (pansit) malabon, ang difference niya rin talaga sa ibang malabon, ay yung pansit hindi siya ganun katataba. Kasi ‘yung iba talaga matataba, pero parang ang hirap kagatin. So sa amin, masarap kagatin then, the special toppings natin. For those who are looking for a twist, sa pansit malabon, we have this flavored squid and special blend of squid sauce dito sa Pansit Malabon Negra natin,” she added.
Aside from their variant of special pancits, their very own spaghetti with meatballs is also a big hit with their customers. It should have been for the children’s menu which adults also seem to enjoy. The Spaghetti with Meatballs has a balance between sweet and sour from the tomato sauce used in the dish.
Their unique Sinigang steak with its thick flavorful soup is a must-try as it is something new for everyone’s taste buds.
“Sinigang steak, you are gonna love it,” Eleanor said.
“Of course, hindi mawawala ang mga gusto ng mga bata. Pero nagugulat kami na pati matatanda, nagustuhan ang spaghetti natin,” he said.
Pork Sisig “Yung pork sisig natin… Pero hindi lang kakaiba, kundi hahanap-hanapin mo. Special siya.”
They also have their own version of the famous empanada of Vigan, called Empanadita.
“Pang-merienda na, pang-regalo pa at pang-hatinggabing merienda,” Eleanor stated.
