Daytime Drama Queen Julia Montes described her role in Asintado during a sit down interview with LionhearTV in January 8, Monday. Asintado is another masterpiece which will air on January 15, Monday in Kapamilya Gold.

Filled with action and revenge, Asintado also stars Shaina Magdayao, Paulo Avelino and Aljur Abrenica. Describing her role as Ana Dimasalang in Asintado proved to be hard for Julia. But she pushed through, Julia described Ana as “Loving. Fighter. Emotional.”
What would viewers expect from the upcoming series?
“Palaban. Gaya yung trailer and yung title, palaban na. ‘Yung characters lalo. Hindi lang ako, kundi lahat ng mga characters dapat abangan kasi lahat may mga inaasinta, may mga goals, may mga pinaglalabanan. Lahat exciting na panuorin at exciting abangan.”
Moreover, how did Julia prepare for her role as a vengeful Ana?
“Nahirapan ako, at first. Kasi ako, personally, kapag nagagalit, umiiyak lang ako, eh. ‘Di naman ako ‘yung parang gigil or whatsoever. Diba yung sa trailer parang gusto kong barilin ‘yung tao sa baba. Wala, ‘di ko kaya. Nahirapan ako sa specific scene na ‘yun.”
Julia also continued that she liked the challenging feeling attached to portraying Ana.
“Pero masarap sa pakiramdam kasi nachachallenge ako. Nachachallenge ako na i-portray si Ana kasi bago. Nagiging bago siya for me talaga. ‘Di ko alam yung pakiramdam kung papaano magalit ka at the same time, torn ka kasi mahal mo ‘yung tao and all.”
Nevertheless, what would be the difference of Ana to her past roles?
“Mas palaban ‘to. Kung ‘yung dati, ineexpect ng iba na palaban kasi kontrabida ako and kambal, mahirap na ‘yun and all. Eto, mahirap din kasi iba ‘yung pinagdaanan ni Ana, eh. Parang after struggle, eto na naman and eto na naman and eto na naman. Papaano siya babangon?”
