Ethel Booba recently acknowledged why she seemed different on social media and television. She revealed that someone looks at what she wanted to post on social media.
However, on television, someone pays her to be Ethel Booba and quipped that she likes the paying one. Ethel also went to Gandang Gabi Vice with Ruffa Mae Quinto.
The funny tweet also read:
“Bakit magkaiba ang personality ni Ethel Booba sa Twitter at TV?” Sa Twitter bago itweet namin may nagdodouble check muna saka need pag-isipan bago ipost. Sa TV naman, binabayaran ako sa character as a BOOBA. Mas bet ko syempre dun sa may bayad. Charot! #GGVBOOBAstic”
Ethel recently visited Vice Ganda on his show, Gandang Gabi Vice with Ruffa Mae. In the said episode, Vice asked her on her thoughts on the “proliferation of fake news in the Philippines.”
“‘Yung mga fake news talaga, kilala ko kayo.”
When Vice asked her to name one of the people who continuously spread the fake news. She, then, answered:
“Starts with the letter M!”
Vice, then, continued to quip, “Ends with the letter?”
Ethel also yelled out a letter “C!”
Ethel also stated her insights on fake news and added that people can use Google to avoid it.
“Actually, libre ang Google. ‘Wag kayong tanga. Samantalahin ninyo. Para alam mo yung totoo. Kasi hindi naman talaga ‘yan iaapprove ng PAMET bago pumasok sa Google. Oo, diba? Hindi ‘yan magvi-viral kung fake ‘yan.”
Ethel continued to clarify her fake news statement in Gandang Gabi Vice on Twitter.
“Most of the fake news are half truth and their goal is to deceive us. You’ll know which is real if you know how to do research di pwedeng search lang. Charot!”
