Edu Manzano’s contract with GMA Network has already ended and he didn’t renew it. This became the reason behind his network transfer from GMA Network to ABS-CBN Corporation.
In an interview with PEP.ph, Edu expressed that he didn’t want to feel tied down in one genre. Celebrity Bluff became his last project with GMA Network.
In the said interview, Edu expressed that it would be better if an actor can experience all genres.
Edu explained that he had an option to renew but he had received an offer from Kapamilya crime-drama series, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
“Nagtapos na yung kontrata, pero there’s an option to renew.
Edu elaborated that every network has their own strengths. He noted that GMA Network remains strong when it comes to fantasy series and ABS-CBN remains strong when it comes to drama. Edu also persisted that as an actor, he would want to try everything. He felt lucky that he had a chance to experience every genre.
Minsan action, drama, comedy… Ako, suwerte lang ako, e, nasubukan ko lahat, pati game show.”
