Angeline Quinto remains the Queen of Teleserye Theme Songs. However, due to her lack of performed theme songs, her dethronement is not far from happening.
Jona recently performed theme songs for teleseryes such as: Pusong Ligaw, Asintado and Sana Dalawa Ang Puso. KZ Tandingan also performed theme songs for films such as Sin Island and The Significant Other. KZ currently represents the Philippines for the Chinese singing competition, Singer 2018.
According to Angeline herself, the title was only given to her. She also added that she doesn’t have a problem whether the two are more in demand than her. She nevertheless, expressed her gratitude and happiness for the experience.
“Hindi po big deal sa akin ‘yon. Basta ako, hangga’t may trabahong dumarating sa akin, sobrang happy at kuntento po ako.”
Angeline knows that she will not have the said title forever, however, the said title is what people still use when introducing her.
“For me lang, hindi naman siguro habambuhay na ako ‘yon, eh. Talagang lahat, hindi permanent. Actually, ‘yun pa rin naman po ang title na naririnig ko everytime na ipinapakilala ako sa mga show.”
When asked whether Jona or KZ still only rank as the Princess of Teleserye Theme Songs.
“Hindi naman. Wala naman akong sinabing gano’n. Hahaha! Kanya-kanyang moment lang talaga.”
Angeline may soon star in a movie version of the hit stage musical of Kung Paano Ako Naging Leading Lady. Though, it has not yet been confirmed nor denied.
