Two families will soon be able to enjoy their own brand new homes after winning the ABS-CBN TVplus’ “Masaganang Pa-Thank You” promo.
Through an electronic raffle, the first digital terrestrial television service in the country has named Mario Miranda Jr. and Bryan Duque as the two new owners of house and lot units developed by Lumina Homes. Two more will be drawn in the coming months.
The “Masaganang Pa-Thank You” promo is how ABS-CBN TVplus shows its gratitude to Kapamilyas that have welcomed the ‘mahiwagang black box’ into their homes and for the more than four million boxes that have already been sold.
Miranda, the first winner, is an XLT jeepney driver with two children and hails from Talavera, Nueva Ecija. His family is grateful to TVplus for improving their bonding experience and says that family gatherings are not complete without pancit, softdrinks, and watching their favorite TV shows with their TVplus.
The second winner, Duque, is from Sta. Ana, Manila. He has two children and works as a cook at his brother’s restaurant. He considers himself blessed to have won the house and lot prize as his family has moved three times in two years, twice after a fire razed the house they were staying at. Rising from the second fire was more difficult as they had to stay at a barangay covered court after the incident. They recently moved again as the owner of the rooms they were renting had already reclaimed them.
Moving multiple times was a hard adjustment for the family, especially the children, but Duque is looking forward to the future. He said that at least now they have their own house from Lumina to go home to.
