- Design Week Philippines runs from 14-22 April 2018, and is celebrated by 43 partners in 16 venues all over the metro
The 9th edition of Design Week Philippines, as organized by the Design Center of the Philippines, kicked off this weekend with its Design Talks focused on the creative journey, a series of creative workshops, and an outdoor film screening at the Creative Environment Intramuros.

Design Week Philippines is a nine-day celebration of design, creativity, and good vibes through a line-up of activities geared towards gathering creative tribes, and engaging them to spark greater collaboration and networking.
DESIGN TALKS. Design Week Philippines gathered in one room five changemakers across various creative fields such as communication design, architecture, fashion, and performance art. The talks featured Ar. Arts Serrano of One/Zero Design Co., Len Cabili of Filip+Inna, Ligaya Gasataya of ManilaForKids, Jodee Aguillon of Pineapple Lab, and Dan Matutina of Plus63 Design Co., and their stories of how they struggled with failures and eventually gain triumphs inspired aspiring designers, artists, and creative minds in Casa Blanca, Plaza San Luis Complex in Intramuros, Manila on 14 April 2018.

Design Talks speakers and participants enjoy Design Binge-O!, a human bingo game that allowed for socialization while discovering each other’s creative trait.
Creative Leadership Workshop. Insight Media CEO Jay W. San Luis inspired the workshop participants work on their creative confidence through the four freedoms: freedom from fear, freedom to be, freedom from chaos, and freedom to fail. The workshop is in partnership with Acceler8 Coworking.
Creative Workshops. Design Center linked up with the National Commission of Culture and the Arts for holding art booths and workshops, including baybayin writing, baybayin henna tattoo, live sketching, and silkscreen printing, to engage Design Week Philippines participants in an afternoon of creativity, culture, and crafting. Meanwhile, Design Center of the Philippines also offered workshops on air dry clay making and wire art making, as facilitated by crafter Amelia Dequito.
‘Ang Larawan’. Design Week Philippines April 2018 edition’s first night was capped off by a free outdoor screening of Loy Arcenas’ award-winning movie musical hit ‘Ang Larawan,’ and live performances from actors Rachel Alejandro and Sandino Martin. The screening was made possible in partnership with Intramuros Administration.
