Many viewers of ABS-CBN noontime show “It’s Showtime” noticed Vice Ganda’s absence on the show’s closing segments especially during the ‘Tawag Ng Tanghalan’ this afternoon.
On Twitter, Vice immediately informed his followers about what happened. He posted this afternoon, “Sorry di ko na natapos ung TnT nakaschedule kasi ang CT Scan ko ngayon ng 4pm so i have to go na to the hospital. Pray for me ha. 💋❤😍”
Also yesterday, during the live opening production number for It’s Showtime, Vice Ganda updated the viewers on his health. Early February, the host went under the knife to remove kidney stones. He also added that he will have a CT Scan and asked for prayers.
In the said revelation, Vice said:
“Bukas mayroon ako ng CT-Scan, sana pag-pray niyo ako para okay na ako, hindi kasi ako makagalaw.”
Vice explained that he couldn’t joke around with his co-hosts such as Vhong Navarro and Anne Curtis and he couldn’t do his job properly.
“Gusto kong sumayaw, gusto kong harutin si Vhong, gusto ko makipagtulakan kay Anne, gusto kong makipaglandian sa inyong lahat dahil sa kalagitnaan ng tawa ko may nararamdaman ako, bumabagsak ang ngiti ko, naapektuhan ang trabaho ko.”
Vice wished for prayers. He also requested for understanding if at times It’s Showtime opens late. He continued that he really is having a hard time and hopes nobody thinks otherwise.
“Sana minsan try to understand, baka akala umaarte ako hindi ako sumasama sa opening, hindi po. Nahihirapan po ako.”
However, Vice will continue making people happy as much as he can.
“Pero as much as I can, I will continue to make you happy, I will continue to make you laugh, I will make you smile at kahit waley na pipilitin natin maging havey.”
