In the finale press conference of Hanggang Saan, Sue Ramirez joked aloud that Yves Flores has a crush on co-star Maris Racal. Yves, then, continued to call Sue an “echosera.” He denied having a crush on the young actress. During Sue and Yves’ lighthearted altercation, Maris just laughed along with them.
Yves explained his side. Sue would always tell people that he has a crush on every woman he gets to work or be with.
“Lahat ng nakakasama kong babae, sinasabi niyang crush ko raw. Kahit sino! Ganyan po si Sue!”
Yves expressed his gratitude to the people that supported him and Maris even though they are not a love team. He also acknowledged that Maris has her own love team with Iñigo Pascual.
“Gusto kong sabihin na nagpapasalamat ako sa lahat ng fans na sumusuporta sa amin kahit hindi kami yung talagang love team. May love team talaga si Maris. Ako naman, wala akong love team talaga. And natutuwa ako na kahit paano, may mga taong kinikilig sa amin.”
Yves clarified that Maris will always be his friend. He also added that he doesn’t know where Sue got the idea of him having a crush on Maris.
“Di ko alam kung saan galing iyong sinasabi ni Sue… Si Maris po, kaibigan ko po si Maris. Bloody Crayons pa lang, magkasama na kami. Doon nagsimula ang relationship namin as magkaibigan. And doon kami naging close talaga. Tapos dito, magka-love team kami, kaya mas lalong lumalim yung pagkakaibigan.”
Yves didn’t want to keep the fans’ hopes up about his “feelings” with Maris. He also stated that he really thinks of Maris as one of his best friends.
“Wala akong crush kay Maris.”
Yves thinks of Maris as tropa. However, he added that they sometimes joke around of being together in heaven but not in this world.
“Si Maris kasi, hindi ko nakikitang magiging kami. Parang ganun. Tropa talaga, eh. Pero minsan, nag-aasaran kami. ‘Oh, sige, hindi man tayo maging tayo sa mundo, pero sa langit, maging tayo.’ ‘Oo, sige.’ May ganun. Pero huwag dito sa mundo. Basta, magkaibigan talaga kami. Kumbaga, kung magiging kami man, parang magtropa pa rin. Ayaw naming masira ang pagkakaibigan namin. Inaasar lang ako… echosera lang si Sue talaga.”
