- Jake Zyrus is undergoing depression due to a busy schedule

- Jake Zyrus has an upcoming concert this May 25 at Sky Dome in SM City North EDSA titled “Music and Me”
Jake Zyrus opens up about his depression and stress during his birthday and 10th-anniversary concert media conference.
“I’ve been there, yung talagang emotionally and physically pagod ka talaga, mahirap talaga. Hindi pa naman po ako naka-experience na mag-walkout,” he started.
The singer-performer has to work double time just to earn and maintain his dying career. However, he has his own way of handling stress.

“Pero ako, sa totoo lang, for example kung talagang alam kong physically and emotionally hindi ko kaya, knowing myself, maaari siyang mangyari. But not intentionally mong gagawin yun. Mangyayari lang yun kung talagang puno na. Kumbaga, you know to yourself na puno na, exhausted ka na,” he said.
He even cited international singers such as Celine Dion and Mariah Carey as an example of canceling their shows if they’re overly stressed and exhausted. Fans should understand that.
This is also in reference to Sarah Geronimo’s recent breakdown in her Las Vegas concert. Sarah failed to perform because she didn’t have enough rest.
“Kung talagang alam ng isang singer na hindi mo kaya, it’s okay. I guess in the future, ang daming matututunan na kapag hindi mo kaya, mas better na i-move mo o mas better na i-cancel mo kaysa mapupuno yung heart and mind mo na mapapagod pareho,” Jake Zyrus’ closing words.
