Tom Rodriguez recently agreed with Jennylyn Mercado on denying the early termination of The Cure. He also added that rumors may be circulating from people who felt threatened for The Cure.
Since GMA Network has a six-week policy, Tom revealed that they now have a script for their seventh week.
Tom said this rumor may have come from people who felt threatened by The Cure. He also revealed that Kris Bernal and Matt Evans had already joined them in the show.
Talking to Mario Bautista of Journal Online, Tom said, “Siguro pinagkakalat lang ‘yan ng mga nate-threaten sa ‘The Cure’ dahil pataas nang pataas ang ratings ng show namin kasi kakaiba at talagang bago ang concept nito. Heto nga, tuluy-tuloy ang taping namin and Kris Bernal and Matt Evans have just joined us in the show.”
Tom also revealed that director Mark Reyes remained on coming up with more situations to make the show more beautiful. He remarked that The Cure remains the Most Buzzed Show.
He also revealed that the now have a script for their seventh week.
“Tuluy-tuloy rin ang pag-iisip ni Direk Mark Reyes ng more thrilling and exciting situations para mas mapaganda ang show. Tiyak na mas subaybayan ito ng viewers every night habang patuloy na lumalaganap ang Monkey Virus Disease as a nationwide epidemic. Patuloy rin kaming trending sa social media and we’ve just been called the Most Buzzed show. Hanggang Week 7 na nga ang script namin, e.”
In the six-week policy, if a series doesn’t rate well in its first six weeks, the network will give another week. If the series still has yet to rate high, the network would dispatch the said series.
The Cure currently became GMA Network’s ammunition for ABS-CBN Corporation’s FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. Kapuso series like Super Ma’am and Sherlock Jr. became GMA Network’s ammunition in the past against FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. Although Super Ma’am had a lengthy run, it still ended quicker than the Kapamilya crime series.
