How will a couple on the verge of getting a divorce in present time use the opportunity of going back to the past? Will they choose to fall in love with each other again or will they do everything they can to not end up together?
Beginning this Monday (June 11), ABS-CBN takes you to a different journey on love and marriage in the newest Asianovela “Go Back Couple.”
Son Ho-jun (Randy) and Jang Na-ra (Jodi) play the titular couple who are in a very unhappy marriage that they want to get rid of each other by wishing to go back in the past and not meet in any lifetime possible. Their daily lives consist of Randy chasing clients in the morning as a pharmaceutical salesman while Jodi is a housewife who feels she has lost life’s meaning as she only cares about fixing their family and minding their son, Gavin.
One day, the two got transported back to 1999 thanks to their wedding rings, which was in reality a set of magical rings, after they decided to get a divorce, when they were just in their twenties and were just about to meet in their college selves. Upon realizing that they travelled back in time carrying with them the consciousness of their present selves, Randy and Jodi take steps to not fall for each other once more and avoid the future from happening.
Will they ever rekindle the spark that made them marry each other as time goes by? Will they be able to forgive each other for all their faults and shortcomings? Or will they savor the freedom away from the perceived bad luck in their lives which is each other? What will be Gavin’s fate in all of this?
