The crowned Miss Universe 2015 revealed that she has an upcoming project with ABS-CBN later this year. Also, she was also recently introduced by Ultherapy and Merz Philippines as their newest brand ambassador.
Because of her success, several beauty queens and most Filipino women admired and look up to her. And in return, she continues to empower them.
Pia praised Angela Ponce, the first transgender to win Miss Universe-Spain. She said, I always knew that transgenders are allowed to join Miss Universe and could win Miss Universe. So, they’re welcome to join.”
“We also have to remember that that’s a lifelong process for you to become a transgender and for you to identify as a woman.
“Hindi naman yan like one day she just decided na, ‘You know what today I’m going to be a woman. I want to be a Miss Universe.’ It’s not like that. For all we know, baka sa pagkabata pa lang niya,” she said about transgenders.
As for her opinion on Catriona Gray who will next compete for the Miss Universe crown, Pia said, “I think we have a very good chance at Miss Universe with her. She’s a very well-rounded person, sobrang ganda, matangkad, proud to be Filipino. I mean what more could you ask for?”
