It’s Showtime Vice Ganda recently recalled and reminisced about joining an amateur contest in rival noontime show Eat Bulaga. Vice was used to be like any other young talent seeking for luck.
He also joined in singing contests in television shows such as O Diva! in Eat Bulaga.
Ingrid Monte Carlo
During an episode on July 12, Thursday of It’s Showtime, Vice asked a Tawag ng Tanghalan contestant whether they know about Ingrid Monte Carlo.
“Kilala mo ba si Ingrid Montecarlo?”
Vice then revealed:
“Si Ingrid Montecarlo ang Regine Velasquez ng Sta. Cruz, Maynila… Ako yun.”
Why Ingrid?
Vice also informed co-host Anne Curtis that he used to be Ingrid.
“Yun ang pangalan ko nang manalo ako sa Eat Bulaga dati, sa O Diva.”

Anne also asked him why he chose the name. Vice explained:
“Kasi may clan-clan kaming mga bakla. Monte Carlo clan ako dati. Sumali ako sa Eat Bulaga dati, O Diva yung contest. Kantahan, singing contest.”
