- GMA Network has put its two biggest leading men together to pit with the current longest-running teleserye ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ starring the undefeatable Coco Martin.
GMA Network will attempt to rival ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ that ruled the Philippine television for three years or so.
It is GMA Network’s 11th attempt and will bring together two of the station’s biggest and most bankable leading men – Dennis Trillo and Dingdong Dantes in one teleserye titled ‘Cain at Abel’.
The said series is dubbed as the Network’s biggest teleserye of 2018 for it reunites two of its top leading men.
Originally announced with Aljur Abrenica and Alden Richards as the leads in 2013, the series will have both Trillo and Dantes instead and is expected to replace ‘Victor Magtanggol’ as soon it bows down.
If it happens, this will serve as Dingdong’s third attempt to topple Coco Martin’s soap and Dennis’ second. Will their combination be GMA Network’s best response to snatch the title from the ‘still’ undisputed ABS-CBN teleserye?
The story is based on the conflict between the Biblical siblings, Cain and Abel. Their story is among the famous stories from the Scriptures. In the Holy Book, the story revolves around Cain who killed his brother Abel after God favored the latter’s offerings as opposed to his.
To be directed by Mark Reyes and Don Michael Perez, Dingdong and Dennis will be joined by all-star Kapuso actors and actresses. Joining onboard are Solenn Heusaff, Sanya Lopez, Chanda Romero, Ronnie Henares, Carlo Gonzales, and Boy 2 Quizon.
