- “Kambal, Karibal” has given Kyline the opportunity to show her acting prowess
Kyline Alcantara was given another drama project after starring in “Kambal, Karibal” and special episodes in “Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko,” both co-starring with Bianca Umali. We can consider “Kambal, Karibal” as Kyline’s biggest break in showbiz as she made waves on social media.
It also made her one of the brightest Kapuso young stars today. In fact, the series received numerous extensions from the management due to its high ratings.
With the working title of “Kidnap,” GMA Network management decided to change it to “Inagaw Na Bituin” since the story will revolve around its two main characters, Kyline and Therese Malvar as their lives will cross paths because of music.
Meanwhile, Therese made waves in the indie cinema winning Best Supporting Actress awards not just here in the local scene but also abroad.
To be directed by Mark Reyes, Kyline and Therese will be joined by Renz Valerio with experienced actors Angelu de Leon, Marvin Agustin, Sunshine Dizon, Gabby Eigenmann and Angelika dela Cruz.
