The 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival entries are consisted of: Fantastica, Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles, Mary, Marry Me, Aurora, One Great Love, Otlum, The Girl in the Orange Dress and Rainbow’s Sunset. The Vice Ganda-starrer featured Dingdong Dantes, Richard Gutierrez and three biggest love teams of ABS-CBN.

As of Wednesday, January 2, an unofficial tally came out. Fantastica had Php418-million while Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles had Php357-million. Meanwhile, Aurora gained Php79.6-million as Mary, Marry Me earned Php54-million.
The tally recorded One Great Love with Php27.6-million and The Girl in the Orange Dress had Php25.9-million. Otlum had Php11.8-million while Rainbow’s Sunset gained Php7.7-million.
Fantastica versus Jack Em Popoy for 2018 top grosser.
In December 27’s unofficial tally, Fantastica and Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles battle over the top grosser title. This was confirmed by MMFF spokesperson Noel Ferrer.
“Ang sinabi sa akin, ganito na lang ang mangyayari kasi kawawa naman ‘yung nagla-lag behind. I can safely say that we are really so happy and we are going to the target na P1 billion. Kaya lang, gusto sana natin equal distribution hanggang kaya ng lahat ng mga pelikula. Pero as expected, ‘yung mga pelikula ni Vice Ganda at saka ni Coco Martin at Vic Sotto ang nangunguna sa takilya.”
