On the 17th Gawad Tanglaw Award ceremonies, GMA Network was named the Best TV Station and some of the Kapuso personalities received recognition, too!
Here are the list of some Kapuso personalities that bagged awards on the 17th Gawad Tanglaw Award rites.
Dear Uge and Wagas won the Best Comedy Show and Best Drama Anthology.
GMA News anchor Atom Araullo won the Best Screenplay plum prize together with Mike De Leon and Noel Pascual for the movie Citizen Jake, while his documentary program The Atom Araullo Special was awarded as the Best Educational Program.
Ken Chan and Rita Daniela of My Special Tatay acquired the Best Lead Performance in a TV Series.
Inagaw na Bituin stars Therese Malvar and Gabby Eigenmann won the Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor awards for their roles in the movies School Service and Citizen Jake.
Host Ivan Mayrina of Unang Hirit bagged the Best TV Male Anchor award while Jessica Soho’s State of the Nation took home the Best News Program trophy.
Reel Time and Reporter’s Notebook earned the Best Documentary Special and Best Documentary Program honors.
Investigative Documentaries achieved the Best Investigative Program citation while I Juander won the Best Magazine Show plum prize.
Front Row was hailed as the Best Public Affairs Program.
And GMA News reporters Cesar Apolinario and Mariz Umali won the Best Male Field Reporter and Best Female Field Reporter trophy, respectively.
