‘Asia’s Got Talent’s’ first Grand Winner El Gamma Penumbra joins ‘World’s Got Talent’

After winning Asia’s Got Talent in 2015, El Gamma Penumbra is now set to conquer the world anew, after the group captivated their audience once again when they performed an act promoting selfless, unconditional, and forgiving parental love to KZ Tandingan’s version of ‘Anak’ with Mandarin translation.

The award-winning Filipino shadow play group from Tanauan, Batangas has debuted on ‘World’s Got Talent’ in Changsha, China.

“Sa apat na taon na lumipas, hindi kami tumigil sa paghubog sa aming mga sarili. Ngayong nandito na kami sa China para makilahok sa ‘World’s Got Talent,’ naniniwala ako na ito ang magiging daan para sa aming mga pangarap. Kaya mas gagalingan pa namin para kami ang maging champion sa competition na ito,” one of its members said in a pre-recorded video.

After their powerful performance, the audience was visibly emotional with some even wiping their tears.

The judges were clearly impressed. David Foster, who was also a judge when they won in ‘AGT’ commented, “We saw you on ‘Asia’s Got Talent.’ It’s nice to see you again. We loved that you won. You take a blank page with nothing on it and you create something out of nothing. It is magic to me. We don’t know how you do it but we love that you do it.”
