The well-known original ‘Amor Powers’ Eula Valdez is said to be cast on two ABS-CBN series and many questioned if one of her characters will end sooner than expected.
Eula is currently with Dreamscape’s action-packed series The General’s Daughter, as she portrays the role of Corazon de Leon, the real mother of 2nd Lt. Rhian (Angel Locsin).
Aside from her growing character in the series, she will also be seen in another Dreamscape production, the upcoming drama series ‘Love Thy Woman’ where she will be portraying the legal wife of Christopher de Leon and the mother of Erich Gonzales. This will be top-billed by Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, and Erich Gonzales.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Eula finally cleared this speculation. She confidently said that her character in The General’s Daughter will not be put to an end just because she will be having another project, which is also under the same production unit. She excitingly shared that the projects will surely keep her busy and she likes this idea of being fully loaded.

“Ay hindi po ako mawawala sa ‘The General’s Daughter.’
“Tinanong ko rin po iyon. Nung sinabi na kailangan ako kausapin, sabi ko, ‘Bakit po? Mamamatay po ba si Corazon?’ Hindi naman daw. Siyempre excited ako. Wow, sige pagurin niyo ako, M-W-F ‘yung isa, T-Th-S ‘yung isa. Opportunity ito so grab lang ng grab.”
Eula also shared a glimpse of the character that she will be portraying in the new series. She compared her role to Charo Santos-Concio but is a little gutsy, she did not disclose any further details but she assures that many will love her character.
“So far ang peg na binigay nila sa akin is si Ma’am Charo (Santos-Concio) pero may konting [tapang]. I doubt [na kaiinisan ako dito], siguro mamahalin nila ako. Surprise na lang pero I am sure maganda.”
In the end, she emphasized that she is not expecting anything from the show but she hopes that the work will be happy and will run smoothly.
“Yan ang hindi ko ginagawa, [ang mag-expect] kasi madi-disappoint ka. So ako ay hoping lang na happy set and smooth ang trabaho. Kailangan positive lahat.”
