On May 13, the ABS-CBN Special Coverage: Halalan 2019 registered a 5.7% rating and defeated the 5.4% rating of Eleksyon 2019 on May 13, but with overall ratings, the GMA News and Public Affairs Special Coverage was hailed the winner and the most watched coverage based on Nielsen TV Audience Measurement’s ratings data for May 13 and 14.
GMA News’ special coverage of the 2019 Midterm Elections garnered an average people rating of 3.2 percent in National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM), beating ABS-CBN’s Halalan 2019 that only got 2.8 percent.
The coverage gained the viewers’ trust in almost all parts of the country through TV and online.
In Urban Luzon, GMA News’ Eleksyon 2019 special coverage accumulated an average rating of 3.4 percent while ABS-CBN recorded 2.4 percent.
In Urban Visayas, GMA News’ special coverage on May 13 ruled over with the rating of 2.9 percent against ABS-CBN Halalan 2019’s 2.7 percent.
The Eleksyon 2019 coverage of GMA News’ ’24 Oras’ on May 13 dominated its rival program with 12 percent versus ‘TV Patrol’s’ 11.6 percent.
Late-night newscast ‘Saksi’ likewise defeated its counterpart with 3.3 percent rating against ‘Bandila’s’ 2.6 percent.
The GMA News coverage served to be a total package from its ratings down to its graphics. With its state of the art setup, viewers have nothing to say but wow! This superb display also helped the users visualize the data provided.
