Maymay Entrata explains why she overlooked Edward Barber on her FAMAS Speech

  • Maymay Entrata bagged her first FAMAS Award
  • Edward Barber, attended the awards night as Maymay Entrata’s date
  • Maymay Entrata dedicates her win to everyone who supported her

Maymay Entrata has taken home her very first FAMAS Award!

During her speech, Maymay Entrata went on to thank everyone including the youth who inspired her to continue her dreams. She also put the spotlight on God for making her young, shining career possible.

Maymay also put a challenge, that if she can do it, so can others.

After Entrata received the German Moreno Youth Award during the 67th Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards (FAMAS), the singer-actress took to Instagram to thank everyone who supported her dreams along the way; her friends from “Pinoy Big Brother”, and her managers and bosses at Star Magic and Star Music, including of course, her onscreen partner, Edward Barber, who was there for her during the awards night but failed to mention him while making her speech.

In a recent interview for ‘Hiwaga ng Kambat’, Maymay shared that her heart was pounding and was overwhelmed by the anxiousness that she failed to mention Barber in her speech.

She immediately left after giving her gratitude to the award winning body and missed the chance to strike a pose with her trophy. Still, she wanted to give Barber the recognition he deserved and if given the chance, she will thank Barber for his support.
