A throwback photo of Vic Sotto carrying a baby is making rounds on the internet. Basing from the looks of the baby, netizens claimed that the Eat Bulaga host was carrying his then future wife, Pauleen Luna.
The caption on the black and white photo went: “Vic Sotto and Pauleen Luna. Akalain mo, sila pala ang magkakatuluyan. Kaya sa mga single diyan, wag kayong mag-alala. Baka yung forever nyo, fetus pa.”
But Pauleen denied that she was the baby cradled by Vic in the throwback photo. She clarified that it was a two-year-old Paulina Sotto, the daughter of Vic with former actress Angela Luz, who was in the photo.
She said that poking fun at the now-viral photo is unfair for her husband.
“Hindi ako yun, kuya! Si Paulina yun. Sarap nga idemanda yung site na nag-post niyan!” Pauleen said in an interview with PEP.
She said that she was relieved that the viral photo did not reach the knowledge of her husband.
But she pointed out that she was the girl in a throwback video with Vic where she joined Eat Bulaga‘s Little Miss Philippines segment at the age of six. Vic was the one who interviewed her in the contest.
Pauleen is currently preoccupied with her responsibility as a mother to her two-year-old baby Talitha.
“Mommy na nang Mommy pag wala pa ako. Kaya nakukunsensya ako kapag wala pa ako sa bahay,” Pauleen said.
Vic also shared his fun moments with Talitha.
“Ayaw magpakarga. Gusto niya, ilapag mo lang siya. Akala mo naman, kaya niya. Maya-maya nadadapa.
“Pero hindi naman siya iyung nakakainis na kulit. Nakakatuwa naman,” Vic narrated.
Vic and Pauleen have a wide age gap of 35 years. Pauleen is now 30 years old now while Vic is 65.
The were both hosts of Eat Bulaga and they started dating in 2011 as per rumors. They only admitted their relationship in 2013 and faced many struggles and criticisms as a couple. They announced their engagement in September of 2015 and finally tied the knot on January 30, 2016. They welcomed their first-born baby in November 6, 2017.
