Jane De Leon was one of the most sought after stars at the ABS-CBN Ball 2019 which was held last September 14, Saturday.
But to the dismay of her followers, the actress failed to shine and attract much attention during that night.
Being the new Darna, she is considered next to Liza Soberano, who was one of the best-dressed actresses in the ball.
Jane walked down the red carpet in her light blue gown but many were dismayed for she did not slay with her Modern Filipiniana gown unlike her fellow Kapamilya stars. Some even remarked that she was unrecognizable.

Netizens commented that Jane could have been more elegant and stunning if she wore a suitable gown showcasing her as the new Darna.

As part of her preparations for her upcoming movie, Jane shared she is now undergoing training sessions to condition herself.
“Ngayon nagte-training ako for body muna, assessments. Hindi pa ako nakakapag-stunt training. ‘Yung mind, spirit, emotionally kailangan din ‘yon, hindi naman puro body lang. Nagtatanong din naman ako kay direk (Jerrold Tarog) kung may kailangan ba akong malaman for this project,”Jane said.
The young actress was awarded as the Belo Beauty on the Rise during the ABS-CBN Ball 2019. The others were taken by surprise when she willingly donated the prize of P150,000 immediately to Bantay Bata 163 for the Bantay Edukasyon program.
“I really want to help Bantay Bata especially Bantay Edukasyon para makatulong talaga na matapos ‘yung pag-aaral nila. It’s really important kasi mga bata ‘yan eh, nangangarap ‘yan. Hindi natin alam kung nasaan ‘yung mga magulang nila at kung ano ‘yung mga gusto nilang gawin para sa buhay nila in the future. Mas maganda na maging ehemplo tayo para mas makatulong sa kanila.”
Jane explained that she values education the most and imparted her message for the youth. “Think about yourself and huwag na huwag n’yong pababayaan ‘yung sarili n’yo. Importante ‘yung pag-aaral. Always listen to your parents and don’t forget to pray.”
