Mocha has been in and out of government. She was first appointed by Pres. Rodrigo Duterte as one of the board members of MTRCB. After her stint at the MTRCB board, she was transferred to the PCOO as assistant secretary. In the May 2019 elections, Mocha ran as a partylist representative but lost.
