Sunshine Dizon will be playing a mistress in GMA Network’s upcoming series Magkaagaw. She will play the role of Laura who is the mistress of Alfred Vargas’ character Mario.
Playing the role of a mistress might be very challenging for the actress considering her real life experience where her husband Timothy Tan was caught with a mistress.
“To be honest, siyempre the situation with Laura is different so character-wise, you get to sympathize with her na she was just placed in the situation when wala naman siyang choice at hindi naman niya kasalanan iyon.
“Ang dating kasi dito ako yung kabit pero hindi naman talaga sinasadya ni Laura na maging kabit.”
The actress explained that there was no proof of marriage or CENOMAR yet in the ‘90s
“Actually this was a fact, na early ’90s wala pang CENOMAR so you wouldn’t really know na may former asawa na yung magpapakasal sa iyo.”
During the conference, she was asked if she has changed her opinion when it comes to mistresses.
“Never. Ano naman kasi, iba talaga ‘yung situation ni Laura cause she was put in the situation na wala siyang laban. I hope that is clear with the audience.
“In real life, that is a totally different story. When you know that someone is married with kids, bakit mo papasukan ‘yung sitwasyon, ‘di ba? Hindi tama iyon!” she added.
Magkaagaw is set to premiere on October 21 on GMA Network. Other celebrities included in the drama series are Sheryl Cruz , Klea Pineda, Jeric Gonzales, Alfred Vargas, Dennis Padilla, Lovely Abella, and Polo Ravales.
