Veteran actress and former beauty queen Alice Dixson recalled how she lost a lot of job opportunities due to her unprofessionalism in the past.
Alice’s showbiz career skyrocketed in the ’80s which she said inflated her ego and caused her to develop a ‘diva’ attitude.
In a recent interview with Tonight with Boy Abunda, the actress revealed that her close friend, fellow actress Dina Bonnevie, once described her as “maldita” when they were younger.
“A lot of people got very upset with me. Because of my unprofessionalism, I lost a lot of work. That taught me na, ‘Hoy, mag ayos-ayos ka naman diyan,’” she said to host Boy Abunda.
Apart from always coming late to film sets, Alice narrated that she had a “primadonna” attitude in those days which got her embroiled in a dispute with Regal Films matriarch Lily Monteverde.
The actress then explained that her struggles with juggling with studies, work, as well as her time for family and “love life” led her to behave that way. With the rise of her popularity, the actress said that she became boastful.
It was her former husband Ronnie Miranda whom the actress credited as the reason she was able to get her feet back on the ground. Alice considered this episode in her life as a learning experience.
Upon taking a showbiz hiatus, the actress ventured abroad and became a licensed realtor in the Province of British Columbia, Canada and also a licensed real estate agent in Florida.
