James Reid and Nancy Mcdonie get into their characters for The Soulmate Project.

  • It’s confirmed that the series is set to be filmed in the Philippines and partly in South Korea.
  • Mcdonie will have her debut TV show in the Philippines.

Filipino-Australian actor James Reid together with K-pop Star Momoland group lead singer and dancer Nancy Mcdonie thrilled the fans after their photographs surfaced on Instagram on Monday, February 3.

The two stepped into their roles as Jayson and Binna in the upcoming series The Soulmate Project.

Co-producers Project 8 cor San Joaquin and Dreamscape Entertainment shared photos on Instagram of James and Nancy during a look test. A set of photos did James wearing an apron over an orange shirt, with Nancy wearing a white dress.

In another photo, the two are wearing sleepwear – Nancy in silk pajamas and James in a basketball jersey and sando.

A third look shows the two of them, glammed up in formal clothes and closer pose.

In a previous interview by ABS-CBN, Nancy revealed that taping the series is scheduled to start in February. It will be filmed both in the Philippines and South Korea.

The K-Pop star sensation, who is acting for a drama for the very first time, told ABS-CBN News that this experience is totally new to her.

“Different country, new culture, I’m very excited,” she said.

The series, which is written and directed by Antoinette Jadaone, said that the series will include 13 episodes, with a format patterned after US and Korean dramas.

James had previously worked together with Jadaone in the back-to-back hit teleserye, On The Wings of Love in 2015 and Til I Met You by 2016, repectively, where he starred alongside then-love team partner Nadine Lustre, and who later became his girlfriend for almost four years.

Meanwhile, James fans and the Netizens are looking forward to this new team-up.
