Jinggoy Estrada made a heated rant against San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora when the latter allegedly tried to stop his daughter Janella’s “rolling store palengke”.
A furious Jinggoy claimed that the current city mayor supposedly told market vendors not to join the mobile palengke intiated by Janella.
“Gago (Fool)! Don’t try to test me, you’re still a newbie here. And then you have the nerve to ask vendors not to participate in Janella’s rolling store?
“Have you no compassion? You’re making things difficult,” Jinggoy said. He even dared Zamora to stop the market from operating and gave its time and place of operations.
Estrada also claimed that Zamora ordered the police to apprehend those operating the mobile store.
Janella Estrada, Jinggoy’s daughter, was Zamora’s opponent for mayor in the 2019 midterm election. Zamora ended the five-decade political reign of the Ejercito-Estrada clan by defeating Janella.
In a statement, Zamora said he has not yet watched the video, and that he is “completely focused on San Juan’s battle vs. COVID-19.”
“I will just refer the matter to my lawyers,” the local chief executive said.

Meanwhile, the “Rolling Store Palengke” is still fully operational to date.
In partnership with ‘Misyon Foundation,” this Rolling Store Palengke aims to bring the market closer to the people of San Juan with public transportation being unavailable due to the lockdown.
The former vice mayor, in cooperation with Councilors Jana Ejercito, Joy Ibuna, Chesco Velasco, and Vic Reyes initiated the rolling store palengke.
Janella was also seen distributing facemasks, relief goods, and food packs to frontliners and as well as helping disinfection operations.
