It can be recalled that last March 21, 2020, GMA Network announced via Twitter that one of their talents tested positive for coronavirus, which led them to vacate the last area he visited and keep the employees under health monitoring.

According to the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Chairperson Liza Dino who was able to speak directly to Joseph’s wife, he had already recovered from his pneumonia but a  brain complication caused him to fall into a coma.

Liza shared: “Gumaling yung pneumonia, but nagkaroon ng complication sa brain, so comatose pa rin.”

Director Zig Dulay said that Joseph was able to help him on multiple projects such as One Hugot Away, Sirkus, and Karelasyon.
