Actress Agot Isidro took to Twitter her rage towards the Philippine government after hearing about a woman who died while waiting for a bus to ride home.
Frustrated by the incident, Isidro stated how the lives of the poor are being perceived as cheap and unimportant by the government.

She said, “Napakamura at napakaliit ng buhay ng mahihirap ngayon. Nakakatulog pa ba kayo nang maayos? Nakakakain pa ba kayo nang hindi ito iniisip?
“Pilipinas, hindi pa ba kayo galit?” she added.

Ngayong krisis, kaming dukha,
tigil-kahig, tuloy-tuka!
Ngayong krisis, kasi’y dukha,
tuloy-dusa, tulo-luha!— Ka Enchong (@KaEnchong) June 10, 2020
I can’t wait when the day it’s over for these glorified and self righteous officials. Power is not forever and I’m pretty sure there will be karma . Gagabaan nawa Kayo sa lahat ng pahirap na ginawa ninyo habang nasa position Kayo sa pinaggagawa ninyo. Di natutulog ang Diyos.

On June 5, a woman was found unconscious at a footbridge in Pasay City and was later declared dead at a hospital. She was identified as 33-year-old Michelle Silvertino, a mother of four who stayed at a footbridge for five days while waiting for a bus ride home to Calabanga, Camarines Sur.
According to the Pasay City Police report, a concerned citizen found Silvertino sick and struggling to breathe. When local authorities responded, Silvertino was already unconscious and later died.
The police added that the citizen also asked help from the nearby Barangay 159 office, but was declined.
Due to the quarantine measures being implemented by the government to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, public transportation was controlled and limited, thus forcing Silvertino to walk from Quezon City to Pasay City with heavy luggage where she waited at a footbridge.
This incident angered other local artists and citizens which led them to call for justice on Silvertino’s untimely death. By using the #JusticeForMichelleSilvertino they voiced out their sentiments on the current government leadership through social media.
Director Antoinette Jadaone and spoken word artist Juan Miguel Severo as well used social media to call for justice on Silvertino’s death.
Bawat umaga na lang, may bagong pasabog na ipaglalaban ka bilang Pilipino, ‘no? Nakakapagod na magalit pero huwag mapapagod. #JUSTICEFORMICHELLESILVERTINO https://t.co/jAJ0T98c29

I’m so fucking mad—I’m THIS close to crying.
The Pasay LGU failed her. THE GOVERNMENT FAILED HER. They didn’t even give her a proper burial, kahit cremation sana. Tangina. They burried her in a shallow grave na kayang hukayin ng aso!!! #JusticeForMichelleSilvertino https://t.co/L9FUwmSV8T

Metro Manila is currently under general community quarantine, thus regulation on all forms of public transportation in a limited capacity will still be in place until further announcement.
